01What Hola is, and is not
Hola is a place to talk. It offers chat and voice conversation with AI companions designed for everyday topics: how your day went, what is on your mind, a small win to share, or just a friendly hello.
Hola is not a therapist, a clinician, or an emergency service. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical, legal, or financial advice. The companions are AI characters. They are not real people, and they will not pretend to be.

If you are in immediate danger, having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, or someone you care about is, please contact one of the helplines below. These services are free, confidential, and staffed by trained people.
For medical emergencies in India, call 112. If you are outside India, please use your local emergency number.
03When to reach for real help instead of Hola
Hola is a companion, and a companion has limits. Please look for real-world help if you experience any of the following:
- Thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or harming someone else.
- An acute physical or mental health emergency.
- A situation that needs medical, legal, or financial advice.
- Ongoing distress that interferes with your sleep, work, relationships, or daily life.
- A feeling that talking to a real person, friend, family member, or professional, would help more than a chat.
Please do not use Hola as a replacement for a doctor, therapist, lawyer, or financial advisor. We will always encourage you to seek that help when it is right.
04How we try to help responsibly
We design Hola to be a safe place to talk. A few things we do:
- Be transparent. Every Hola companion is clearly an AI character. We do not allow them to pretend to be real people.
- Surface help when it matters. When the conversation suggests you may be in distress, we point you to crisis resources like the ones above.
- Keep it judgement-free. Companions are designed to listen without judging. They will not lecture, shame, or pressure you.
- Respect your time. No dark patterns, no manipulative streaks, no per-minute pricing designed to keep you on for longer than you want.
05Your data and our community
Your conversations are private. We store them securely, never sell them, and let you delete them at any time. Full details in our privacy policy.
We also have community guidelines that describe what is and is not acceptable on Hola, and a child safety policy outlining how we handle issues involving minors.
